New logo and Mascots

NEW LOGO, NEW MASCOTS
This will be the largest project by far. I will be looking to upgrade the Dragon/Teapot logo, as well as add two brand new mascots to help out around the website.
- The logo will follow a similar theme of the dragon, Kensho Kan, wrapped around a teapot. The difference will be that I will want him larger, and more detailed. I’m aware most logos keep going for minimalism in their design to be more memorable. I don’t want that. I want it to be memorable for how good of a logo it is, how great the artwork is. Before the idea was that people would recognize a teapot first and notice the dragon second; this time the dragon will take more center stage. The company name won’t be on the front of the teapot this time around, and I am looking to angle the teapot from a 90 degree angle to a 45 degree angle, where the spout is closer to the viewer and the handle further away.
- There will be 2 brand new mascots for the store. The dragon, Kensho Kan, has picked himself up a wife and a daughter over the years. While he toils away in the back, these two new mascots will be the “face” of the store. They will come in different styles on various pages and merchandise. They will be humanoid, but some versions will have dragon horns (based on Eastern traditions), and some versions will also have a dragon tail. Some will be highly detailed and beautiful, some will be chibi and cute.
- The mother will be more inspired by Chinese traditions, and will wear a hanfu. The overall feel will be one of elegance and refinement, a beauty that you almost feel like you can’t even look at. She is someone who holds onto traditional ways and takes them seriously. Despite this, she is not “Stuck up,” as some archetypes go. She just believes these methods are the best ways to enjoy tea and life.
- The daughter will be more inspired by Japanese traditions, and will be shown wearing a kimono. She is very happy and bubbly, giving everyone the cute little sister you must protect vibes. She is in many ways the opposite of her mom, favoring freedom and spontaneity in how she goes about things. Often depicted with a sleeveless kimono, accepting the old traditions but embracing the new ways they can be expressed.
The general art style I will be looking for is displayed below. Just remember that it won’t be the only art style, some will be more beautiful illustrations while others will be silly chibi versions. It doesn’t have to be a complete 1 for 1 match, the general feel and vibes is what’s important. More details, such as color scheme, hair designs, outfit patterns etc will be discussed with the one I choose for the artwork.
The title of the email submissions will be “Logo And Mascot Submission,” where you can email me with some of your past artworks so I can see what you can do. You can give any extra notes in the email as well, just please don’t beg me to choose you or try to strike some kind of deal. The images can be from a website or direct images, it doesn’t matter. Since this will be multiple works, not just one single image, we can decide price points on an image to image basis. Obviously I expect to pay more for a fully detailed illustration than I would for a quick chibi sketch. While price is a small factor, it IS still a factor, I’d rather pay $100 for a 9/10 artist than $200 for a 10/10.
Be sure to look at the General Rules section for the email you’ll be using and other rules not specified here.
